Finally, also the Pallid Harriers (Circus macrourus) have reached our south coast. As with Hen Harriers the adults and 2cy birds come first, later followed by the juveniles. This moulting male Pallid Harrier could be a 3cy, judging by its softly retained facial markings and darker cap, while the so far unmoulted outer primaries are of adult type, thus excluding a 2cy.
